Forever Mine

He lies there still, sleep in his eyes,
all is quiet, dusk outside
His mind though still in so much pain,
dreams always now, of her, again
The Love they shared it fills his mind,
her voice was clear, 'Forever mine....'
Always together, so much to say,
right up until that Winter day
He'd seen the love, it left her eyes,
but still the end came as surprise
His soul froze cold, and then he cried,
when she turned saying 'My love has died...'

Some time has passed, but still soul cries,
'Please God return her love to 'eyes...'
A broken man inside he's 'dead',
as he lies still, upon his bed

Father Time is in despair, 
although he's tried she is 'still there'
Just cannot get her from 'his' mind,
although to him was so unkind.
HIS purpose was to free her pain,
so she could live, once more, again
Erase her mind of 'those things' past,
by giving her a friend at last
To help her 'dull' her early life,
all that trouble, all that strife
Now thanks to him, inside she's well,
he helped her thru', all that hell
It's now him needing a good friend,
so pain he feels will have 'an end'

Dusk gives way to Dawn outside,
and God has heared the pain he's 'cried'
He wakes and starts another day,
he heard Gods words, as he lay

'If I control all Destiny, 
one day I swear she'll return to he...'
He must now wait, whatever time, for her words again..
